Neonatology unit at Hope hospital is a 25 bedded neonatal intensive care unit dedicated entirely to the provide the best of treatment and care to the newborn babies...It is a fully equipped level III NICU to take care of the wide spectrum of neonatal diseases especially the preterm babies.Babies are taken care of under strict asepsis which is a very important factor while dealing with newborn babies.Various services offered include- Non invasive ventilation : HFNC , CPAP - Advanced modes of ventilation like High frequency ventilation - Surfacant therapy - Therapeutic hypothermia (whole body cooling ) for babies with birth asphyxia - Total parenteral nutrition for extreme preterm babies , post surgical babies - Special emphasis on developmentally supportive care especially in management of preterm babies. - HEPA filter driven unit to maintain strict asepsis. - In house ECHO , USG cranium and video EEG facilities for quick diagnosis and appropriate management - Phototherapy, exchange transfusion facilities for neonatal hyperbilirubinemia - Surgery facilities for neonatal conditions like TEF , malrotation of gut , repair of cleft lip and palate by experienced Pediatric surgeon - 24*7 pediatric nephrology services like neonatal peritoneal dialysis , CRRT - Availability of Pediatric cardiology specialist for babies with congenital heart diseases - Transport ambulance facility for outborn babies
